Design and Implement Public Involvement Strategies to Get Projects Approved

Whether your project is in the public sector or private sector, you need the acceptance of affected residents and local businesses to move to the implementation phase. As Director of the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department for ten years, Wendy Grey successfully designed and managed public involvement processes for major road projects and revisions to the land development code.

Wendy Grey Land Use Planning (Wendy Grey Land Use Planning) can help you evaluate your needs for public involvement and design the right process for your project.

Projects

Wastewater Treatment Master Plan Stakeholder Group, Tallahassee, Florida As a member of the Carollo Engineering team, Wendy Grey Land Use Planning was responsible for stakeholder involvement. The City was updating its wastewater treatment master plan and faced public concerns on several fronts. Environmental groups were concerned about the impacts of the City’s sprayfield on the environment. There was also concern about the potential health impacts of reusing treated wastewater on recreational areas. Wendy Grey Land Use Planning worked closely with City staff to identify interest groups and potential stakeholders, developed meeting agendas and presentations, facilitated meetings, and ensured stakeholders received answers to questions they raised.
